Most often, a pattern is taped onto the base layer in preparation for the secondary sprayed layer but a solid spray pattern can be achieved if desired. Multiple layers of colors can be overlaid to provide depth and richness to the application. These applications provide significant skid resistance around wet areas such as pools and can also be applied in a knockdown texture.

A cementitious overlay is installed at approximately 3/16′ to 5/8″ and stamped just as a new pour would be. These stamped systems can be used in the restoration of nearly any stable concrete surface and can be colored integrally, stained or a combination of both.
Troweled concrete overlays can be stained with a reactive acidic stain to give the same mottled and translucent staining patterns as regular concrete or can be colored with water based dyes. Dyes are not stains and do not have the endurance of stains but open up a much larger color palette as compared to the earth tones of stains.
